Reason for absence
I have been conspicuously absent of late, the reason is that on seven out of ten occasions when I try to get on the site I get the message (see below). I tried to post this yesterday but was unable to get the attachment on so today I have gone through Photobucket. Any idea what the problem might be.

Re: Reason for absence
Hi LeslieG, I suspect it has something to do with the way in which your browser of choice runs and displays scripting.
if possible could you try one of the other browsers such as Firefox, iE or Opera as i have no issue with these browsers...
Please let us know how you make out. :D

Re: Reason for absence
Thank you Joel. I have changed my allegiance to Firefox and all seems to be fine now. Pity really as I was a great fan of slimbrowser but it has crashed a number of times during the past few months. I had slimbrowser for years without any problem at all sometimes new updates lead to a downturn in performance.

Re: Reason for absence
Sorry to hear your browser of choice has crapped out on ya! I have always liked ie but the beta 9 and Release Candidate have an issue with crashing on my hardware also... Opera and Firefox do not show webpages the same but work for me most of the time. Opera has also crashed a few times on me or when shut down the browser closes but the instance is still running in Device manager which is a pain so at the moment Firefox is working well...
But I need all 3 for testing...

Sometimes computers can be a bitch. But like women we can't live with them and we can't live without them.

Re: Reason for absence
Hi :)
Scripting errors usually show when using "developers" version of browser.
If you know how, you can then set up browser to correct or ignore.
Most browsers (standard) will get around scripting errors.
So you do not know they are there.
If you get a lot of problems of this nature.
Un-install said browser, run something like CCleaner.
Then reinstall browser (probably best to re-download this too).
I haven't as yet had any probs with either the lates Opera or IE9 RC.
N.B. All sites will generate errors.
Of course these are not all "in" script.
Some will be server related.
Can't remember the percentage, but whatever it is. Will means you do not see any in the end result.
The worst site I visit for scripting errors is MyCE (CDFreaks).
