I recently bought myself an Epson Stylus photo 1400 so that (If I ever take a decent photo) I can print at A3 size.
Tested it out on a photo taken with my oldish Canon Ixus 2m pixels and you can see that 2mp is not quite enough for this size of print. I used this in order to see how much licence I have to crop phots taken with my Canon EOS400.
It also has the facility to print on DVDs like my old Epson stylus photo 360 on which the print head became blocked and no matter how I tried I could not get it clear. I am toying with sending it back to my old place of work to get it ultra sonic cleaned.
I tries a cannon printer but could not get on with the software and donated that one to my daughter.

For general b/w printing I use a HPlaser jet 1022

I've been using all in ones for a number of years now

started with the HP PSC750 which worked well but was costly on the ink as the colour cart is one of these tri-colour ones.

then went for an epson dx4850 - great printer but packed in after 3 yrs (could get 4 full sets of ink for the price of 1 set of epson original)

so I then went for the SX405W from tesco which had a small wifi print server (size of matchbox) with it. Had to take it back after 1 month due to print issues but had to move upto the BX300 as the 405 was no longer available.

BX300 also has build in fax ability (if i ever need to use it  )

Hi :)
I use a HP 2100 all-in-one.
Had it quite a while now.
Don't use it much.
The cartridges tend to dry up.
Rather than run out through use. Duh!

I am still using the now very old HP 1210 series. I think. Prints docs just fine but would like to move to a cheaper kodak one in the future.

I use a Canon Pixma IP5200 It prints well onto DVD's which is why I purchased it, also I have only just tried it out printing photos and am very pleased with the results.
BUT the cost of ink cartridges is a downside.
I made the mistake of ditching my old Epsom stylus 600 photo printer , should have used it for printing docs.

Epson R265 and an HP PhotoSmart C4480 here. :)

I tend to use the HP more, as the genuine Epson inks cost an arm and a leg (I'm dubious about using compats with that particular printer, as with my past Epsons, they've tended to dry out after a period of not using the printer; the genuine ones have never done that for me, no matter how long I go without using it).

Mind you, I'm impressed with the photo printing quality of the HP, even using "everyday" use inks. Their software sucks royally though, IMHO :P

Soon to acquire an unused Lexmark AIO from my mum when she remembers. :)

Canon PIXMA MP980.

Never had any luck with Epson (clogging print head, makes it junk everytime); every HP I ever owned ended up crapping out just after the warranty expired... I think they are very cheaply made. Lexmark... I have one, not impressed, collects dust, sucks up ink and won't print under the last inch of the page. Makes it useless for printing labels in mail merge. Wastes labels... gets expensive... Those are things that need to be factored in for the total ownership cost. Canon so far has been pretty good. TurboPrint usually has Canon covered for Linux Printing as well.
