Well here is the latest version

Rubik's Touchcube

The Rubik's TouchCube seamlessly blends cutting edge technology with the world's #1 puzzle to create the first completely electronic, solvable Rubik's Cube!

The Rubik's TouchCube features touch sensor technology on all 6 sides and lights in every square; slide the lights with a simple swipe of your finger to mimic the moves of the original Rubik's Cube. To eliminate false inputs or moves, the Rubik's TouchCube uses a motion-detecting accelerometer to determine which side is facing up and active. The Rubik's TouchCube also includes a built-in solver, so now anyone can easily learn how to solve the Cube step by step.

When I had one the first time around I read a book that told me how to solve it and I still couldn't do it so I'm glad they now have a full blown 'do it itself' version.

I don't like it... I'd rather have the classic. I solved all of those puzzles in my youth. Takes the problem solving skills away from the youth. I know longer have my Rubik's Cube, but seeing this crap makes me want to stocking stuff the original Cube for my oldest daughter this year... Think I solved the cube in 6th or 7th grade... Still have the much easier "Pyraminx" and "Whip-it"... those are in awful condition though. I still quicky solve the Pyraminx for my kids, but it is tough to turn... the Whip-it is just seized up... think it fell victim to one of my basement floods.

Know what your saying Tracy.

I had the original as well and was the only one in the house who could solve it. We ended up with one in the house a couple of years back and could I remember how to solve it after 25-30 yrs - yep you've guessed it.......NO Duh!

Could get the top layer complete but that was it 🐘

Well Alex, after I find one in a local retail store or online, I'll probably be in the same boat as you... been forever since I touched one... I used to rock at Tetris too, but I suck at that today. My kids have it for their Nintendo DS's... Same classic game, but since I am older, a new crappy result!
