Hi :)
ASUS anything.
Mobo, optical drive whatever.
Never impressed me in terms of performance or stability/reliability.
I wouldn't waste the energy even if given anything ASUS.... lol!
This is based on my personal experiences in the past.

Well, I have had great luck with both my Asrock Z68 motherboards and the 2700k and the 2600K chipsets, we will se what Asrocks big brother can do? It has a 5 year warrantee so I am not worried, it should be together over the weekend.

While zebs is throwing Asus under the bus...

just want to say that I have only had one issue with Asus products over the years. I mother board on the HTPC went bad after 2 years of 365/24/7 of use. Asus customer service was acceptable on the phone and RMA'd the board under warranty.

I have used them for many other items (including the MB on my office monster) and I haven't had any issues with their reliability. I'm sure they have made junk as ALL companies do from time to time. I just don't think they are doing anything different than any one else. No better or worse...

Hi :)
I know loads of folk love ASUS/ASROCK.
Just my personal experience.
I say the same about Volkswagon cars (had the 1st 16 valve Golf in the UK).
It spent more time in the garage than the road.
Add Ford to that too!
