Found this link in a mag today which is a free iphone/itouch/ipad app.

Although I've not gone down the iroute (:D) I decided to have a look and see if they did a Windows Mobile version - appears they don't but I did notice that the map data came from openstreetmaps.

after a bit of searching I have come across the following

I have download and installed app and maps onto the storage card on our work devices and had a quick try of it tonight.

So far it is quicker than another app that company bought/supplied to us all :)

and I can only assume that if anyone updates the maps then you can then get the updates down to your laptop & then load onto device again (will need to read the destructions to see if this is how it works)
