Transferring rights Empty Transferring rights

Post by LeslieG Thu 17 Dec 2009 - 19:58

I purchased a full version of Windows 7 home premium with both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. My intention was to put it on my machine as a christmas gift to myself. On reflection I have decided to give it to my youngest son as a Christmas present. Currently he has a full copy of Vista, 32 bit, which is for one machine only. My puzzle at this moment is, as I am still on XP will I be able to take his, which will be defunct after Xmas Vista full version and put it on my machine. Any views on this??????

Hi :)
Usually OS already installed are oem.
As such are for that PC.
However, often with a free phone to MS.
You can get around it.
Basically implying that the original PC is screwed, but you still have the OS.
So what you've done in effect is a major upgrade of PC.

I installed the Vista package on my machine making it dual booted (I kept XP as I am still a great fan) When I installed the internet on the same drive my Vista was immediately verified. Great news!!!
