My new camera Empty My new camera

Post by Hugo Fri 13 Nov 2009 - 16:01

I just got myself a new compact camera, a Fuji F200EXR.
When I get the SDHC card delivered from Memory bits tomorrow, I will start to play with it.
It is much lighter than my old Fuji SLR so I'll take it out more.
Hoping to post some stuff here, (looking for models Alex) largegr

Nope not me but sure we can find you a nice looking model if we have to Thinking

Thats looks like a nice camera.

I have been debating on replacing my Kodak Z740 for a while now as I fancy doing a bit more with the camera & photography thing. My Brother in law has his own site with many of his pics (selling them as prints as well) but he has one of the PRO Canon DSLR's (2K+ :affraid: )

Can't justify a low end DLSR due to all the lenses being extras.

Have looked at the Bridge Camera's with superzoom ie Nikon P90 & Olympus 590 both around 12MP & 24+ Optical Zoom - with that sort of zoom I would probably get a reasonable pic of Zeb's even from way up here lala

But will hold off at the moment and see what the big man in the red suit may bring me next month (or not)

My new camera Productdefaultmainimage

Here is some more info on that model : http://fujifilm.co.uk/consumer/digital/digital-cameras/advanced-compact/finepix-f200-exr

To be honest I am now mainly using my mobile phone. Has a basic 8MP camera on it and does well on the go. The missus wants a Camera like this for Christmas though.

Only just came across these replies !
McT I used one on trial for a week from somebody my wife knows, and found it a great little camera.
I took some picture of my wife for a laugh in the dark at home, I pointed the camera to where I thought she might be half clicked the shutter, quick half flash told me where she was and focused and then all the way down on the button and the results were like the room was in daylight.
Well pleased with it, nice on close ups too.

bubbles So you believe in father Christmas then :)
I was looking at the Leica M9 until realised it did not come with a lens, would be wasted on me anyway as I have lost the urge to go out with a DSLR .

bubbles you'll have to wait a while, as I don't want to take pictures in the rain. lol!
Also my wife is not too well at the moment so everything can wait.

I'll get there in the end.
