Hey Alby.. that's pretty cool! ☀

I work at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg Army Post here in North Carolina. I am an RN in the Neonatal ICU. So I play with sick and premature babies. I love my specialty. But I may have to give it up for a little while if i move back to New York state earlier than i previously planned. I may have to learn to take care of old crotchety veterans until i get back on my feet if i move this year. Working for government facility means i can transfer easily rather than applying to a new job cold turkey. I get to keep benefits adn seniority that way. Veterans hospitals do not offer pediatric services so it's going to suck, but i will do whatever it takes to be stable and provide for my little one until i can apply for a NICU job in the city. :flower:

Not good to stop doing what you love. Good keeping the benefits.
Ours is a semi-govt corp. so our jobs are very secure. Transfering between depts is now hard though. I was lucky when I did. Another 20 years will see me out. Geez that sounds a long time. I started back in 1982 In the stores depot. To Purchasing after 10 yrs then in 2000 where I am now. And I enjoy what I do. That can be a rarity. Smells can be bad at times !!
