Truth be told, something like this will probably work in a few years time. I know I would rather stream movies than purchase something that takes a lot of real-estate... I have so many DVD's and CD's I have them stored in plastic bins in the basement. I have been ripping some to Matroska (movies) and AAC (Music) files and storing them on a hard drive... It is just more practical for me.... the problem also is it is time consuming to do that.

Sony (PS3), Microsoft (XBOX 360), and Nintendo (Wii and DSi) have online stores you can purchase games and content to store on hard drives, memory cards, or SD cards... They are way ahead of this in developing a business model.

The problem, for me, is DRM and not being able to move that content... having the freedom to do with what I purchase... I feel these companys treat their consumers like common criminals with restrictions and rules. I hope it gets done right, but I doubt it.
